"The Farm, the country’s own holistic healing and wellness centre in San Benito, Barangay Tipakan, Batangas, was named “Spa Cuisine of the Year,” while Mandala Spa and Villas in Boracay took home the “Spa Treatment of the Year” award for its “Hilot trilogy”, at the recently concluded 2009 AsiaSpa Awards held at Armani Bar, Hong Kong."
If you are looking for a top-of-the line spa in Manila where serenity is priceless, you can review the locations listed at Manila Spas: thespa's website and make an inquiry.
I have written some on the website, Triond and a wonderful article on Ayurvedic Massage Treatment was published there by anjalone3.
Here is an excerpt:
"Experience your self in a unique, tropical environment while receiving luxurious cleansing and rejuvenation treatments from India."
To Read more, visit healthmad.com and search for alternative/ayurvedic-massage-treatment or visit Triond and look up the author :)
It is membership based and therefore has exclusive appeal and amenities one would expect for the cost.
Business World recently let us all know that a Holistic specialist comes to Manila spa.
That visit was to highlight "indigenous Lanna Massage and Traditional Thai Massagea" and it was at "The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Manila."
As with any in-hotel therapeutic massage or spa treatment, the overall service will likely be first class but it would need to fit your budget.
Why?
There are many Training Institutes in Manila and sometimes you walk in and get a massage treatment for FREE!
One Institute is the Ricky Reyes Salons, which I have read about in one of Bo Sanchez' books and visited in Cubao.
If they are not actively recruiting for models for their students, you can likely make an appointment for another day.
Another option is the many community therapists that work outside.
Some are blind and actually reside outside yet many that I have met and spoken with are simply supplementing their incomes and may indeed be a fully licensed therapist, not to say that the others are not!
Prices in such locations are up for negotiation and can start as low as 50Php.
The numerous spas that dot the city offer a full combination massage lasting about an hour from, on average, 250-350 PhP per hour.
They can be found in most of the big shopping malls and in almost all communities. Many offer full shower, steam baths, saunas and meals while teas and water are standard. An appointment is something to consider, but by and large, walk-ins can be accepted in the majority of spa locations.
Outcall or home service massage therapy is also a readily available option in the Philippines.
Do you have a great article or website or offering to share here?
I would like to co-promote some items sold here in the area of Reflexology. If that fits for you or if you have other ideas or suggestions to share, feel free to share here!
ABS-CBN reported on 7/04/2010 that the current President of the Philippines regularly has therapeutic massage therapy. The title of the article was "Aquino socializes, goes for massage." Here is an excerpt:
"MANILA, Philippines- Three days after assuming office, President Aquino on Saturday afternoon took time off to have physical therapy and massage at the Philippine Rehabilitation Institute Foundation in Quezon City, his long-time personal driver said.
Mr. Aquino’s convoy left his home on Times Street in Quezon City around 3 p.m. Saturday. Driver Gerry Gezzingan told ABS-CBN News that the President usually goes for massage and therapy twice a week to relieve stress."
I think this reflects the wonderful acceptance of therapy and the integration of spas in the Philippines. In light of former Vice President Gore's topic in the news, without commenting on the newsworthiness of such a story, I think it shows sound judgment on the part of President Aquino to choose a more appropriate time, though that should not be necessary!
Whether you are looking for Manila Spas, Reflexology treatment, a Therapeutic Massage, some well-earned Stress Relief or a Spa located anywhere in the Philippines, this site provides a great collection to choose from!
