The slogan for the Cowboy Grill locations is "LIVE BANDS! GOOD FOOD! COLD BEER!" & this certainly lays a foundation for an enjoyable meal. I recommend selecting a variety of dishes since the serving sizes are large enough to share while being judicious with the appetizers due to pricing and you simply might not have "room" to finish the main courses.
I recommend trying the Chop Suey. or one of the dishes pictured here which are sisig and sinigang baboy. For more information on Malate , read about the Malate locations here & click-through to the Cowboy Grill website while there.
Update: The Cowboy Grill in Malate has moved to a slightly larger venue about 2 blocks from the former location to Remedios Cor. Madre Ignacio Street.
On August 31st, GRAPHIX

Sometimes, I seem to go days or even weeks without a full meal. A buffet is one way to dine out & replenish missing nutrients with healthy foods and satisfy your appetite & physical requirements.
RUBEN D. MANAHAN has just released an article on manilatimes.net that highlights the Fiesta Manila Buffet in Malate. (728 Gen. Malvar Street)
Vincente Tan is the owner: "Tan said that they would be serving lunch buffet at 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. while dinner buffet is at 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Regular price starts at P198 a head but they would be giving discounts such as children from 2 to 10 years of age will have to pay P128 and below two years will be free of charge."

The funny thing about the MATY's they list here under the heading, 10 Best Tapsilog in Manila is that there is another MATY's directly across the street that I was told was under different management.
Tapsilog in one of the most popular foods when eating in the Philippines & I have eaten at this specific location once when treating 3 guests, It was very affordable and promptly served. I enjoyed the food and the easy-to-read menu high on the wall.
