Manila religions offer a perspective on living here.

Manila Religions: There may be ten commandments & it is somehow inpudent to rank faiths. In the west, it's common to see the 1st church of this religion or that as if faith in God is a competitive aspiration.

Even at the SM Mall of Asia, there is a chapel with a sandcastle-like facade. Indeed, there is abundant access to places of worship sprinkled throughout Manila.

Any discussion of religion here, often begins with catholicism.

The following article, Religion begins this way:

"Religion holds a central place in the life of most Filipinos, including Catholics, Muslims, Buddhists, Protestants, and animists. It is central not as an abstract belief system, but rather as a host of experiences, rituals, ceremonies, and adjurations that provide continuity in life, cohesion in the community, and moral purpose for existence. Religious associations are part of the system of kinship ties, patronclient bonds, and other linkages outside the nuclear family."
