Manila Entertainment: There are Ten Thousand things to do, if not 10,000 Cranes

manila entertainment: Television can be both amusing & educational; offering insights into PoP-Kulture even if often non-interactive. There are times when you want to counter a point being made but when was the last time you were challenged to a duel via the idiot box? Perhaps that is why I didn't watch t.v. for a full year here.

The Kantar Group, lists the viewing results of television programming through the TNS Philippines Television Audience Measurement. Both GMA and ABS-CBN are available through non-cable signals and 2 ABS-CBN programs, WOWOWEE & PILIPINAS GOT TALENT currently top the national weekly daytime and weekend daytime rankings respectively.

Visit TNS to see what current shows are popular at night or by a location.

Mark Bautista & Rivermaya have already performed in April at PAGCOR but if you missed them, there is still time to catch AEGIS who are sure to perform their popular single Halik, Kiss in English, Freddie Aquilar, who is famous for the song Anak, child in English, and more recently having to face the firestorm surrounding his nephew, Jason Ivler, or Rachelle Ann Go, adorned in yellow in the clip below as tribute to the late 11th President of the Philippines, Corazon Aquino.

Tickets range from FREE and up; click through for an updated calendar.

Some of us travel in style for manila entertainment:

Kelly Clarkson will be performing Live in Manila with a stop on her "All I Ever Wanted Tour." She will turn 28 a week prior to the concert and is a true example of persevering in our goals; an American Idol winner in 2002.

Araneta Coliseum in Cubao will hold the event on May 1st, 2010 at 8:00PM. Check with ticketnet for ticket seating and purchases here with manila entertainment.

I recently chanced upon this location near Star City in downtown Manila. The Manila Film Center is slightly north of the SM Mall of Asia and toward the Senate building.

They host a cultural presentation that is geared toward the whole family. The entertainment show is presented at 8 p.m six nights a week, Tuesday through Sunday, under the heading, Amazing Show, and claims to be "The Philippines' Premiere Theatrical Family Show."

Be sure to check it out on your visit or stay in Manila.

Update: Ticket prices are 1,200 pesos per head and the show lasts about 70 minutes. Surprisingly, there are no child discounts. You make the call on the value provided.
